Verdaro does not just name a plant. Every identification goes through three steps, and at the end it says openly how sure it is.

  1. Reading the plant

    An AI model looks at leaf, flower and growth. The analysis runs in data centres in the EU.

  2. Checking with science

    Every suggested name is checked with GBIF, the global biodiversity database. A name GBIF does not confirm is never shown.

  3. Saying how sure it is

    High, medium or low confidence, with advice on which photo would help. Whether a plant is edible or poisonous is something Verdaro deliberately does not judge.

Final prices. As a small business we charge no VAT (§ 19 UStG). The monthly plan can be cancelled for the end of any month, the yearly plan for the end of its first year and after that at any time with one month’s notice. 14-day right of withdrawal.

* Fair use: generous daily caps, so the service stays quick for everyone. Reaching one only means waiting until the next day.

Questions, answered plainly.

How accurate is the identification?

It is a likelihood, not a certainty: every answer says how sure it is. Young plants, grasses and cultivated varieties are hard. A sharp photo of one leaf or flower helps most.

Where are my photos kept?

On our server with STRATO in Germany. For the analysis they go to Gemini on Google Cloud, in data centres in the EU. We remove the location from every photo.

Are my photos used to train AI?

No. Under Google Cloud’s terms they are not used to train AI models, and we do not sell data.

Can I use Verdaro without a subscription?

Yes. The free account stays free, without a credit card and with no end date.

How do I cancel Pro?

In your account under “Manage subscription”, or without signing in through “Cancel contracts here” at the bottom of every page. Pro stays on until the contract ends; anything you have already paid for the time after that is refunded pro rata.

What happens when I delete my account?

We lock it at once and delete all gardens, plants and photos for good after 30 days. Only payment records are kept, as long as the law requires.

Does Verdaro say whether a plant is poisonous or edible?

No, deliberately not. An identification from a photo can be wrong. If you suspect poisoning, call a poison control centre or see a doctor.

How do I install Verdaro on my phone?

On an iPhone, open Verdaro in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”; sign in once more in the installed app. On Android the browser offers “Install app” in its menu.
